Blinds Fitted Across Salford — By People Who Live Here
Wallworks started out fitting blinds around Irlam and Cadishead, and we’ve been working across Salford ever since. That matters more than it might sound. We know which streets have the deep Victorian bays, which Quays developments have tall glazing that standard blinds can’t handle, and which new builds have the UPVC frames that suit perfect fit blinds better than anything else.
We’re a family-run business, not a franchise or a call centre. When you book a home visit, the person who measures your windows is the person who fits your blinds. Same face, start to finish.
We fit every style made to measure: roller blinds, venetian blinds, roman blinds, vertical blinds, perfect fit and day & night blinds. We bring the full sample range to your house, measure every window to the millimetre, and come back to fit within two to three weeks.

Blinds for Salford Homes
Salford’s housing is unusually varied for one city, and the right blind depends heavily on what you’ve got.
Apartments at the Quays and MediaCity Floor-to-ceiling glazing, a lot of west-facing glass, and afternoon sun coming straight off the water. Most people here want blackout for bedrooms and solar-reflective rollers for living rooms — enough light control to actually use the room in the evening without losing the view. Worth checking your building’s rules before you order: some developments specify a uniform backing colour so the frontage looks consistent from outside. We’ll raise it on the visit.
Victorian terraces in Ordsall, Seedley and Pendleton Deep bay windows, often three or five sided, and rarely square by the time they’re a century old. This is where made to measure genuinely earns its keep — an off-the-shelf blind trimmed down leaves gaps at the edges of a bay every time. We measure each section separately and account for walls being out of true, because in a house of that age they almost always are.
Semis and new builds in Worsley, Boothstown, Walkden and Swinton UPVC throughout, usually. Perfect fit blinds clip straight into the frame beading with no drilling at all, which keeps the frames intact and means the blind moves with the window when you tilt it open. If you’re renting, or you’d simply rather not put screws into new frames, this is the answer.
Period properties around Monton and Worsley Village Sash windows, tall ceilings, and rooms where a modern roller can look out of place. Roman blinds in a heavier fabric tend to suit these better, and plantation shutters suit them best of all — though they’re a bigger investment, so we’ll show you both and let you decide.
Why choose us
What You Get With US
We’re Local, Genuinely
Based in Salford, working across Salford. No national call centre routing your enquiry to a subcontractor three counties away.
One Person, Start to Finish
The person who measures is the person who fits. Nothing gets lost between the visit and the installation.
Samples in Your Own Light
We bring the full fabric and colour range to your house. A grey that looks right in a showroom often looks completely different against your own walls in Salford’s winter light.
Free Quote, No Pressure
The visit costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We measure, we quote, you decide.
Our Full Range of Blinds
All styles available made to measure, in a wide range of fabrics and colours.
Roller Blinds
The most versatile choice, and the most popular in Salford’s apartments. Blackout, solar-reflective, day & night and printed fabrics available.
Venetian Blinds
Aluminium, real wood or faux wood slats. Precise light control, and the faux wood copes with kitchen and bathroom humidity where real wood would warp.
Roman Blinds
Soft fabric folds that suit period rooms and older properties. A wide choice of fabrics, from subtle textures to bold patterns.
Vertical Blinds
The practical answer for patio doors and wide living room windows, common across Salford’s semis and 1970s builds.
Perfect Fit Blinds
Clip into UPVC frames with no drilling. Ideal for new builds, rentals, and anyone who doesn’t want screws in their window frames.
Day & Night Blinds
Alternating sheer and solid bands for adjustable privacy. Popular on ground-floor rooms facing the street.

Questions About Our Salford Service
Anything else you’d like to know? Get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
Which parts of Salford do you cover?
All of it. That’s M3, M5, M6, M7, M27, M28, M30, M38, M44 and M50 — covering Salford Quays, Ordsall, Pendleton, Eccles, Monton, Worsley, Boothstown, Swinton, Pendlebury, Walkden, Little Hulton, Irlam, Cadishead, Broughton and Kersal. If you’re not sure whether we reach you, just ask.
I live in an apartment at the Quays — can you fit blinds there?
Yes, and we do it regularly. Apartment glazing tends to be taller and wider than standard, which is exactly where made to measure matters. Worth checking whether your building has rules about blind backing colours before you order — some Quays developments do, so the frontage looks uniform from outside. We’ll raise it on the visit if you haven’t already.
My bay window isn't square — is that a problem?
Not at all, and in Salford’s older terraces it rarely is. We measure each section of a bay individually and allow for walls that have moved over the years. That’s the whole point of made to measure — a standard blind cut down to size will always leave gaps in a bay.
Do I need to be in for both the measuring and the fitting?
Yes, for both — but that’s the only two visits. The measure takes around 30 minutes for most homes. Fitting is usually 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on how many windows. We’ll agree a fitting date before we leave the first visit.
Do you fit shutters in Salford as well?
We do. Plantation shutters work particularly well on the bays in Salford’s Victorian terraces and in the period properties around Monton and Worsley Village. They’re a bigger investment than blinds, so we’ll show you both options and let you weigh it up. Ask when we visit.
How much do blinds cost in Salford?
It depends on the size of the window, the style and the fabric, so we’d rather quote you properly than guess. The home visit and the quote are both free, and there’s no obligation to go ahead.
